When it debuted in 1990, the 997 was an instant favorite. When the original model was discontinued years later, it became a legend. Today, the 997 remains one of the most sought-after silhouettes in the entire New Balance archive, especially when it reappears for special occasions. For Fall/Winter ’24, the 997 marked its debut in the Made in USA Seasonal Collection. The classic wedge silhouette, with its distinctive heel cushioning, is constructed in canvas, mesh, and suede and features a vibrant color palette of contrasting turquoise and burgundy tones.

New Balance Made in USA footwear has a domestic content of 70% or more. Made in USA accounts for only a small portion of New Balance’s U.S. sales.
